Thin Papery Skin Needs Plenty of Help – How to Make Your Skin Healthy and Look Youthful Again

If you have thin papery skin, then your best efforts, it has been under-nourished for years. If your skin is thin, easily brewed and injured and slow to heal, it's overdue for really good care.

Fortunately, you can give it the care it needs.

You can thicken your skin, make it tougher and harder to hurt, yet younger-looking and healthier than it has been for years. Here are the facts you need to begin nourishing your thin papery skin.

Skin does not get thin overnight

It takes years for skin to get very thin and fragile. The causes are the same as all other kinds of skin aging, like sagging and wrinkles. It happens this way:

  • Skin loses collagen and elastin, key proteins that give skin its thickness, strength, and elasticity.
  • Hyaluronan (or hyaluronic acid), the fluid that surrounds all cells in healthy skin, is lost over time.
  • Free radicals in the skin cause oxidation damage.
  • Poor nourishment slows down the essential process called methylation, which helps keep the entire body healthy.
  • Too much sugar and starch and too little real nourishment speed up glycation, which destroys healthy proteins, including collagen and elastin in the skin.

Fortunately, it does not take years to improve. You can see improvement in your skin quite fast, often within 30 days. The damage of years can not be eliminated so quickly, but month after month, your skin can get softer, stronger and more youthful-looking.

The strategies that work

1. Use a skin care cream that contains ingredients proven in clinical trials to reverse the causes of skin aging. Those ingredients include

– Cynergy TK, which stimulates the skin to increase its own natural production of collagen and elastin. It increased the growth of new skin cells by 160 percent and increased the skin's elasticity by 42 percent. It also proved a powerful antioxidant, wiping out the free radicals that create oxidation damage to your skin.

– A Japanese seaweed extract called Phytessence Wakame blocks the enzyme that destroys hyaluronan in the skin. With the enzyme blocked (by up to 52 percent), your skin can replace and rebuild its hyaluronan levels to those you had when you were years younger.

– Coenzyme Q10 and natural vitamin E combine to make what is probably the best antioxidant combination in the skin. It works best when a solution of 10 percent CoQ10 and 5 percent vitamin E are contained in a tiny particle size called a "nano-emulsion" to allow deep penetration into the skin.

2. Cut back on sugars and starches and give your skin a break. Sugar molecules often attach them to healthy proteins in the body, beginning the chain reaction called glycation, a major reason for the loss of collagen.

3. Take a supplement containing at least 30 mg of SAMe to improve the methylation process and at least 50 mg of Carnosine (not Carnitine). Carnosine is the only natural substance proven to both prevent harmful glycation and stop it when it has already begun. Take those supplements in an enteric-coated tablet, to keep them from being damaged by stomach acids.
