Can I Use Wrinkle Cream While Breastfeeding?

Women constantly worry about their looks. They slather their faces with creams formulated to tighten and smoothen their skin, close their pores, diminish fine lines and wrinkles, and essentially to make them look younger. Many will stop at nothing, except perhaps pregnancy and breastfeeding, to look beautiful. Indeed, pregnancy and breastfeeding are two events in a woman’s life wherein she will need to re-evaluate or reconsider the things she put on her face because anything she does to herself may affect her baby. Even simply applying creams or lotions on the skin can cause some negative reactions to the baby especially if they contain toxic ingredients or chemicals, such as parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, and TEA. Well, it’s not to say that you cannot use any anti-aging product while you are pregnant or breastfeeding. You just need to be more cautious of the stuff that gets inside your body through the pores of your skin. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, I would suggest that you limit your exposure to chemicals as much as possible. Instead, choose the healthier alternatives, such as those that contain 100% organic ingredients with no traces of chemicals whatsoever. If you cannot find them on the market, make your own organic anti-wrinkle remedy with honey, lemon juice, yoghurt, and Vitamin E capsules. Honey has healing properties, lemon juice is a skin lightener and an antioxidant at the same time, while Vitamin E and yoghurt has nourishing and moisturizing properties. Simply mix them all together and massage them onto your face. Leave the solution on for at least half an hour before rinsing it off with clean water. Do this at least four times a week for best results.

Along with this beauty regimen, make sure to keep yourself properly nourished at this time. Good nutrition has both immediate and long-term benefits. Foods that are high in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and water content are highly recommended when you want to improve your skin without endangering the life of your baby. Green and leafy vegetables, as well as berries and grapes, have high levels of antioxidants, while essential fatty acids are found richly in foods like olive oil and nuts. Needless to say, rather than worry so much about your looks, why not give your baby your full attention? Babies grow up so fast that before you know it your little one is not so little anymore and you end up wondering where the years have gone. Enjoy quality time with your baby while you still can. Besides if healthy living becomes a habit, you will not need to worry about looking old because living the good life delays the aging process by miles.
